As many of you may have known by now, Level Up Games is relaunching the Omicron Server.
I bet your not used to the server branding without the trademark X, well let me give a little bit of history on what the name represents;
The name of the server during Level Up's PH initial campaign to win player's approval was Omicron. I remember that was year 2005, OB players were awaiting for the server to come up at 6 PM. Back then, it was Pay to Play, so if you did not have any credits loaded, you will not be able to play the game.
During the closed beta, most of the players did not stick to the dominant race that we now know as Accretia. Players then took the normal route and picked magic over technology.It was not until the Open Beta, in Nexus, that players opted for Mech rather than might and magic.
The Omicron server, was then used as a Beta test server, casual players opted to play due to the lure of 10 to 30 multipliers XP, Drop and PT multipliers. Soon after the advent of the 5 servers, Omicron came to a close only to be resurrected after all 5 servers condensed into two.
The server will be available after the October 26,2010 maintenance.
