Android

 Android is a Mobile Operating System developed by Android Inc, which is now owned by Google.

Where did it come from? Well Android is based on modified version of the Monolithic Linux Kernel. Its currently operating smartphones, tables and other mobile computing devices.

Android was initially rolled out for public consumption on Feb 2009. Since then, its popularity skyrocketed and now second only to the Apple's IOS. 

Naming convention for its release are rather tasty for those with a sweet tooth.

Recently it reached a milestone gaining the 100,000 Apps count.

Yeah, it just keeps getting better and better.
